It’s hard to believe we’re in the middle of our 15th back-to-school season at my house! Which means another round of new sneakers, school supply shopping, and packing school lunches.
My two oldest boys have always been content with the exact same thing in their lunches, every single day. Which has made life pretty easy for me. But my youngest prefers a little more variety, so I’ve been working on some simple but fun school lunch ideas, like this Easy Peanut Butter and Jelly Dip.
Of course, I also want my boys’ lunches to be nutritious, which is why I love the natural foods sections at King Sooper’s, my local Kroger banner store. These special sections make it so easy to find more real, natural foods, including dairy-free and gluten-free options from brands like Horizon Organic and Silk.
I can also find Kroger’s line of Simple Truth products in the natural foods section. In fact, I can find almost everything I need here to create delicious, nutritious lunches for my kids. It’s so convenient! Just look for the green signs that say “live naturally” and you’ll know you’re in the right place.
And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, the King Sooper’s employees are always happy to help. In fact, I ask for help so often at my local store, I’m on a first name basis with some of the employees. They always go above and beyond to get me what I need!
If there is one flavor that says “back-to-school” at our house, it’s got to be peanut butter and jelly! Like I said, my older boys are happy to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day of the school year, but my youngest prefers to change things up sometimes. He still loves peanut butter and jelly though, and like most kids, he also loves dunking his food in a tasty dip.
This Peanut Butter and Jelly Dip is the perfect solution, and a fun twist on the traditional sandwich.
With just three ingredients, this dip couldn’t be any easier to make. It’s even easy enough for most kids to whip up on their own. All you need is some Silk Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative, plus some peanut butter and jelly. And of course, some Horizon Grahams for dipping!
Just stir everything together (I like to use my electric beaters) and you’re done! If I’m serving this as an after school snack, I like to add an extra swirl of jelly to the bowl. My kids absolutely love the Horizon Honey Grahams, but if you’re a fan of sweet and savory, this is dip is also yummy with Horizon Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers.
