OREO Thins with Chocolate Mint Sauce

A few weeks ago I saw a magazine ad for new OREO Thins and knew they were something I needed to try right away! I’m here to tell you that they were as delicious as I imagined they would be (I tried every flavor, just to be sure) and a few OREO Thins with some ice cream and Chocolate Mint Sauce are my favorite new way to reward myself after the kids have gone to bed.

If you love OREOs, you are going to love these new OREO Thins! They’re the perfect snack for grown-ups who can appreciate a crisper cookie texture in a thinner OREO cookie.

My husband helped me taste test, and I think he liked them even more than I did. And they come in some of your favorite OREO flavors, like original, mint and golden.

Of course, you don’t need ice cream or chocolate sauce to enjoy OREO Thins. But I had some homemade Chocolate Mint Sauce in the refrigerator, so I couldn’t resist the combination.

Even before I scooped my ice cream, I was dipping my mint OREO Thins in the sauce.

This Chocolate Mint Sauce is so simple, and along with some OREO Thins, it’s the perfect little adult indulgence after a stressful day.

Chocolate Mint Sauce

But like I said, these OREO Thins are the perfect treat on their own. And I’m a firm believer that you’re never too old for some OREOs and a cold glass of milk.

If you’re anything like me, you keep a secret stash of treats hidden from the kids. I’ll definitely be adding some OREO Thins to my stash!

After hearing about new OREO Thins, I made sure to look for them during my weekly shopping trip to King Soopers.

As a food blogger, I’m always on the look-out for new products, and I love how the employees there go above and beyond to help me out. The grocery manager, John, has literally run all over the store (and the stock room) to find things for me.

And rather than having me stand around and wait for him to come back, he tells me to “just keep shopping” and he’ll find me when he has the product I need.

And my favorite checker, TH, who is a bit of a foodie himself, is always sharing recipe ideas with me (he’s famous at work for his pumpkin cheesecake!)

The assistant store manager, Shawn, reminds me to let him know if there’s anything they can do for me. He even agreed to donate long-stemmed roses for a teacher appreciate dinner I was in charge of last year!

In fact, every employee I pass asks if there’s something they can help me find. So be sure to look for the new OREO Thins at your King Soopers or Kroger banner store, because I just can’t say enough about their great service.

You’ll find these thin and crispy new cookies near the original OREOs. You might as well pick up a package of each flavor, because you’re going to love them all! I’d love to hear what you would pair with the new OREO Thins for a delicious grown-up treat?
